Angeline started running at 37. After a 3-year break, she got back into it in 2022. At 45, she realised that with a bit of consistency and grit, you can hit goals that once felt totally out of reach. She pushes her limits, enjoys the process, and keeps dreaming about the next races. Here, Angeline shares her experience of doubling up at the Annecy Lake 5K and 10K, a perfect tune-up in her marathon training build.

How did the Annecy Lake 5K and 10K go?
These two races were the first of my season. I chose the distances because my kids wanted to run with me. Considering their ages (15 and 18) and the fact they do not have much racing experience, the Annecy Lake 5K and 10K were the best fit. My partner also joined us for the 10K, with the goal of improving his personal best.
How did you handle your training for the Annecy Lake 5K and 10K?
My training plan for the Annecy Lake 5K and 10K started three months ago, but the real targets are a half marathon in May and a trail race in June.
What motivates you to run?
I run for pleasure, but seeing my fitness and performance improve is incredibly motivating.
How did you discover the RunMotion Coach app?
I first saw the app on social media, but I signed up after stopping by the booth in Annecy last year (2023).
What encouraged you to download and try the app?
A trail running training plan and a marathon training plan for this year.
What do you like most about the app?
What I like most is how easy it is to use.
What are your next sporting challenges?
A half marathon, an 18K trail race, a Spartan Trifecta, and my first marathon.

Congrats, Angeline, on your family 5K and 10K, perfectly slotted into your training build. Good luck with the rest of your preparation.
