I’m a beginner. Is RunMotion right for me?
Absolutely! Every runner starts somewhere. Our app is perfect for beginners. You can start with a goal of running for 30 or 60 minutes non-stop..
For 6 weeks, your sessions alternate between walking and runningWe bet you’ll be running for 30 minutes straight in no time.
We also offer wellness, weight loss, and quit-smoking goals.
Can I train for my next marathon with the app?
The training plans in RunMotion Coach have been designed for all road race distances — 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon — by experienced coaches who have trained runners from beginner to international level. Therefore, it is entirely possible for you to get a marathon training plan in the app.
Long runs last up to 2 hours and 30 minutes, depending on your profile and when you set the marathon as your goal.
Is the training suitable for trail running?
Definitely. RunMotion Coach includes trail-specific sessions like hike-run and tempo work, tailored to your terrain (urban or mountainous).
For your trail or ultra-trail training plan, your digital coach adapts it based on the distance and elevation gain of your trail goals.
Strength training, cross-training (bike, swim, ski), and nutritional advice are also available in Premium mode.
Based in the Alps, RunMotion Coach has been the official coach of UTMB® since 2021.

I don’t have a GPS watch. Can I still use the app?
Of course! You can absolutely follow your training plan without a GPS watch. The app guides you session by session, and you can manually record your runs if needed, or sync with a tracking app like Strava.
If one day you decide to get a watch, RunMotion Coach is compatible with the main brands (Garmin, Coros, Polar, Suunto, Apple Watch, Fitbit, and more).
But to start, a good pair of running shoes and some motivation is all you need 💪
Does the app include strength training?
Yes, the app does include strength training, designed with a physiotherapist 💪
In the Premium version, you have access to strength and conditioning (S&C) sessions tailored for runners, whether your goal is to gain strength, improve stability, or prevent injuries.
You’ll find:
– over 50 core and strength exercises
– home routines with no equipment needed (you can add a dumbbell if you wish)
The RunMotion Strength Training module is a guided video module, very intuitive.
You can specify your S&C experience: beginner, intermediate, advanced, or expert. The training circuits vary depending on your level and the goal you’re preparing for (road/trail) 🏃♂️🔥s
